VICE E550VL 55-inch Full HD 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV

So I just got a brand new Vizio 55 inch (LCD, 120Hz, 1080p). So I plugged my Wii into AV1 on the back of the TV, I can go into settings and change them at the end screen. But when I go to the video resolution, it will not make me do HDTV (480p). It let me do 480i. Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Any help would be great!
